Randonnée The walk on Wednesday 21st July met at 10.30 in the car park near the church at St.Vincent Jalmoutiers. There will not be a walk in August. Car Treasure Hunt & BBQ was held on Saturday 29th May. €700 was raised in aid of our charities Emmaus, Fields of Life and the Chaplaincy.
Prayer and Praise On Friday 11th June, BB held a 'Prayer and Praise' afternoon Chez Flambert in Riberac. The afternoon was attended by 15 of BB's congregation and began with a well provided 'bring and share' lunch from 1 o'clock. This was followed by much singing interspersed with times of prayer and sharing of poetry and readings which some brought with them.
In all it was a joyful and uplifting afternoon in which a wonderful freedom of worship was enjoyed by all. If you missed it, don't be too sad because we are going to do it again on 23rd July – same venue – same time. For more info, phone 05 53 90 99 52 and speak with Roger or Karla Flambert.
‘Come Dine With Me’ comes to the Dronne Valley – no prizes, no points, no peeking in closets!!!! This is an opportunity for you to share your culinary skills with friends and raise some money for church, Fields of Life and Emmaus. We would like you to host a meal, dinner, lunch, BBQ, Brunch, coffee or tea for as few or as many people as you wish. You set the date during June, July, August or September and the price, let me know the details and I will print the tickets and publicise or you may wish to choose who you invite yourself. Don’t delay get planning your menu now, give me a call for more details Sue 05 53 91 68 03. Recipe Book – Karla Flambert is collecting recipes of all kinds from ‘Play-doh’ to ‘haute cuisine’ for a book to be published and go on sale in November to raise money for the Chaplaincy. She needs your recipes urgently to meet the printing deadlines. You could send in a recipe of what you will cook for guests to ‘Come Dine with Me’ that will encourage them to buy the book after sampling the food with you! Send your recipe to Karla at roger.flambert@orange.fr. Vide Grenier/Car Boot Sale – held on Saturday July 10th in the Car Park at Bertric Burée raised about €500 for our charities and for church funds. Contributions Peter Robinson is responsible to the Committee for all communications and web site entries for the congregation at Bertric Burée.
