Future Services

   

The next service at Dondas will be Holy Communion on Sunday 29th August at 10.30, celebrated by the Chaplain.

  

Our Trinity Sunday service of Holy Communion was celebrated by David Jones; we were delighted that he was able to bring Paddy Atkinson with him but sorry that, while it was warmer than when he came in January, the sun that Colin had promised was not forthcoming! The splendid new banner was given pride of place; it was good to see the contributions from members of Dondas congregation, particularly that of Marjorie Pegg who had embroidered some of the bricks showing the individual churches. Thank you to Norma Eckett for all the hard work she put into co-ordinating everything and then putting it together.

 

Our first Marriage Blessing took place on Saturday 12th June when it was lovely to welcome Lucy and Tim Lee, who had celebrated their civil marriage the previous week in the UK, together with their families and friends.

Our Neighbours
We are delighted to welcome to our services people from our neighbouring Chaplaincy over the border in the Lot and Tarn et Garonne.  They in turn have invited us to join them, an invitation which will appeal particularly to those who live in the far south east of the Lot et Garonne.

  

They meet every Sunday afternoon at 4.00 pm in the Chapelle St Paul, which is on the Lauzerte side of Valence d’Agen and just past the Lidl supermarket.

  

They currently celebrate Holy Communion on the second Sunday of every month, (though during the current interregnum in their Chaplaincy, pending the appointment of a new Chaplain, this may be subject to change). More details can be found on www.escotc.com.

 

Our Thanks

We are very grateful to Abbé Antoine Tran and to the Mayor and people of Dondas for their very active support. We are very fortunate to have the use of such a beautiful church.
