Welcome to the website of the Chaplaincy of Aquitaine

We are part of the worldwide Anglican Communion and in the Diocese in Europe.  We are supported by the Intercontinental Church Society.

Our mission is to minister to the spiritual needs of English speaking Christians in the Dordogne, the Gironde and the Lot et Garonne and thus we enjoy the company of many fellow Christians from Methodist Church, Baptist Church, United Reformed Church, Church of Scotland, Brethren, ecumenical and similar backgrounds at our services; not everyone has English as their first language. We are a broad church.

We gather to worship in a dozen churches and in private homes spread across an area the size of Wales.  In the south of Aquitaine, there are also separate congregations in Biarritz and Pau.
